Mrs. Wilson (PBS)

If you’re in the mood for a period drama that’s based on a true story, PBS’s Mrs. Wilson is right for you. The series jumps between time periods and world locations in this story of romance, betrayal and international intrigue. Going from the 1940s and 1960s in London to India in the 1930 India, Alison Wilson begins to unravel a mystery when a woman arrives at her doorstep claiming to be the wife of her deceased husband. The trail leads her down a path of double lives, spies and uncomfortable discoveries. Truth can be stranger than fiction. And Alison Wilson is played by her real-life granddaughter, Ruth Wilson.

What We Do In the Shadows (FX)

In 2014, the film, What We Do In the Shadows, introduced the world to a group of centuries-old vampires who live in the suburbs in New Zealand. The mockumentary-style movie was an international success, which has led to a TV series that will air on the FX network. Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, the duo behind the original film, are executive produces on this American adaptation. This version is set in New York City, and like the original movie, follows the comedic adventures of three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years.

The Enemy Within (NBC)

Ken Woodruff, the writer/producer for shows like CBS’s The Mentalist and Fox’s Gotham, is bringing a new spy thriller to NBC. FBI agent Will Keaton is out of options on an impossible case, so he turns to the brilliant, former CIA operative Erica Shepard for help. Shepard is currently serving a life sentence in a supermax prison after betraying the American government. The series will feature a tense plot where our hero, and the audience, aren’t sure who to trust as the duo chase a dangerous criminal.
